The UNOH Military Relations Department was established in 2001 and provides personal assistance to all military service members and veterans and assists with the scheduling, financial aid, and transfer of credit processes. UNOH accepts Joint Services Transcripts, CCAF, and honors credit equivalencies as defined by the American Council on Education (ACE) for military course work, experience, and testing programs, such as CLEP and DANTES.
The University of Northwestern Ohio is a private, not-for-profit University and is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. UNOH strives to be military friendly with dedicated personnel and staff available. The University understands that the mission comes first and accommodates for extenuating circumstances.
Colleges of Business, Occupational Professions, and Health Professions runs on a quarterly basis with four quarters per year: Fall (10 weeks), Winter (10 weeks), Spring (10 weeks), and Summer (10 weeks) with breaks between each quarter.
College of Applied Technologies runs on six-week sessions with eight sessions per year.
UNOH is a member of the ArmyIgnitEd and AI Portal. UNOH is authorized to certify students who qualify for the following benefits: Post 9/11 GI Bill ®, Montgomery GI Bill ®, Montgomery GI Bill ® -Select Reserves, Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance Program, and VA Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E).
There are NO OUT-OF-STATE FEES, and UNOH offers FREE, UP-FRONT TRANSCRIPT EVALUATIONS. No residency is required.
