Military Students

Military Information Overview

The UNOH Military Relations Department started in 2001, provides assistance to all military, veterans, and spouses and assists with scheduling, financial aid, and transfer of credits. UNOH accepts the Joint Services Transcript and CCAF, and honors credit equivalencies defined by the American Council on Education (ACE) for military course work, experience, and testing programs, such as CLEP and DANTES.

The University of Northwestern Ohio is a private, not-for-profit University, and has been named a Military Friendly School for 2017 by G.I. Jobs. This honor ranks UNOH in the top 15% of all colleges and universities nationwide. UNOH is on a quarter basis with four quarters a year: Fall (10 weeks), Winter (10 weeks), Spring (10 weeks), and Summer (8 weeks) with breaks in-between each quarter.

UNOH is a member of the GoArmy Ed and AI portal. All of our programs are VA approved. UNOH is authorized to certify students who qualify for the Post 9/11 GI Bill, Montgomery GI Bill, (Active Duty/ Selected Reserves) and Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance Program, as well as those who qualify for VA Vocational Rehabilitation.

The advantage of attending UNOH for servicemen and women is that you only deal with one person.  There are NO OUT-OF-STATE FEES, and we offer FREE UP-FRONT EVALUATIONS.  No residency is required.
