University of Northwestern Ohio

VA Shopping Sheet

The University of Northwestern Ohio complies with the Principles of Excellence (POE) in Executive Order 13607. This agreement ensures our Service Members, Veterans, spouses, and other family members receive the information, services, and protections they need as a recipient of Veterans Educational Benefits.  As part of this agreement, UNOH provides each Veterans Educational Benefit student a personalized Shopping Sheet (College Finance Plan) to assist with their understanding of estimated costs, benefits, and other financial aid eligibility.

A shopping sheet provides estimated data at the point in time it is provided.  It is not a final confirmation of costs or eligibility, as costs and eligibility may change depending on a student's actual enrollment status and enrollment period.  VA Shopping Sheets will be provided to students no later than three weeks prior to their first term of attendance for an Academic Year.  Revised shopping sheets will only be provided if a student's tuition charges are subject to change.  Shopping Sheets will be available via the my.unoh.edu student portal on their Financial Aid Dashboard.

Loan Debt

Students who choose to borrow student loans are encouraged to understand their rights and responsibilities as a loan borrower.  Detailed loan information can be found on our UNOH Loan page.  It is important to understand what your potential loan debt may be and what repayment options are available.

All students are required to complete Entrance Counseling before borrowing Federal Student Loans.  This educational tool ensures you understand your rights and responsibilities as a loan borrower, and prompts students to understand how much loan debt they can potentially accrue and what repayment options are available.  An Annual Student Loan Acknowledgement process is highly encouraged to be competed each year, as this will provide students with current student loan debt amounts and how much is left remaining to borrow, in addition to repayment option information.  Detailed repayment information can be found on our UNOH Loan Repayment page.

Graduation Rates

All student outcomes in addition to data referencing financial aid, costs, enrollment, programs, athletics, accreditation, security and safety, and cohort default rates can be found on the National Center for Education Statistics for the University of Northwestern Ohio.

Transfer Credits

General information regarding the transfer of credits can be obtained via the UNOH Transfer Credit page.

UNOH accepts Joint Service Transcripts (JST) and Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) transcripts.  Also accepted are honors credit equivalences defined by the American Council of Education (ACE) for military coursework, experience, and testing programs such as CLEP.
