Where can I seek medical care?

If you are ever in need of medical attention, there is a physician's office, Mercy Health UNOH Family Medicine at UNOH, within walking distance. Appointments are necessary. Students can also seek medical care at Mercy Health St. Rita's Westside Urgent Care location, less than 1 mile from campus at 2195 Allentown Road. The Urgent Care is open from 8am-8pm Monday - Saturday, and 10am-6pm on Sunday. If medical needs are more serious and a visit to the emergency room is necessary, Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center is 2.5 miles away at 730 West Market Street.

Will the Mercy Health Westside Urgent Care accept my insurance?

Mercy Health St. Rita's Westside Urgent Care accepts all insurance. Due to the fact that all insurance providers apply benefits differently, it is the patient's responsibility to check with their insurance carrier to make sure Mercy Health St. Rita's is covered.

What do I need to bring with me when I need medical attention?

All students must bring their UNOH Student ID with them when seeking medical care at Mercy Health St. Rita's Westside Urgent Care location. Students should also have the following information with them: Date of Birth, Social Security number, any medical history (allergies, medications, etc), and money for co-pay if required by insurance carrier. If no co-pay is required - a $15 point of service collection is taken upon registration. If you have insurance - please bring your insurance card or a copy of the insurance card.

What if I have limited funds or don't have insurance?

Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center is a not-for-profit institution. They have many charity or discount programs due to this status. The billing statement from Mercy Health St. Rita's has an application on the back of it for these programs. All patients are encouraged to apply regardless of whether they have insurance or not. Eligibility is based on income. Students need to fill out the back of the statement and mail it in with their proof of income, if applicable. The application will be processed by Mercy Health's financial counseling team and you will be notified by mail if you qualify for a charity program or not.
