Benefits of Working with Career Services

The Career Services Department is here to assist our students to find part-time, full-time and life-time employment. Our students are receiving or have received an excellent education and are prepared to enter the workforce.

We will assist your company in finding quality, educated, and motivated people to work for you. We are here to make employee selection a smooth, seamless and successful process.

Career Services offers a variety of different activities for employers to participate in. We encourage you to familiarize our students with your company.

Activities and Services Include:

Career Magnet

Career Magnet is a 24/7 secure online database that employers can log onto and register their company. After they have registered they have access to search students, post job openings, register for job fairs, post hires, and check out what is going on in Career Services. Graduation List

The graduation lists can be found in the resource library on the Career Magnet website. The graduate list consists of contact information, majors, and other valuable information and are available every session/quarter.

Business, Health, and Occupational Professions Career Fair

This event is held on campus and you will be able to meet many potential applicants, obtain resumes, and raise awareness of your organization among our students. Students are told to bring their resume and dress professionally. You can find out more and register for the Business Career Fair on Career Magnet at http://careermagnet.unoh.edu/employer.

Career Technology Days

This is a one and half day event where students come in shifts with their instructors that way every student gets the opportunity to meet with attending employers. Career Technology Days are held on campus and you will be able to meet most of the College of Technology students, obtain resumes, and raise awareness of your organization among students. You can find out more and register for Career Technology Days on Career Magnet at http://careermagnet.unoh.edu/employer. The fairs are held in the spring and fall each year.

Post Your Job Openings

When there are positions available at your organization you can log on to the Career Magnet website and post them 24/7. No hassle or waiting. Students have immediate access to the job openings as soon as they are active. All you have to do is log on to http://careermagnet.unoh.edu/employer and go to the My Jobs tab, click on New Job and enter all the information on the position.

Schedule Interviews On Campus

Contact the Career Services Department to set a date and time to schedule and meet with qualified candidates for open positions.
