Overview
Students from other countries are offered the opportunity to study at the University of Northwestern Ohio. To be admitted to the University, international students must meet the following admissions requirements:
- Students must submit the University’s Application for Enrollment and an official copy of a secondary level or high school academic record indicating successful completion of the program. (International students completing their last year of secondary level education in the United States as exchange students must submit an academic record from the U.S. high school they currently attend, as well as the school they last attended in their home country. A letter should also be submitted from a high school official [i.e. guidance counselor] who is familiar with the student’s academic progress, recommending the students for the majors they have selected.)
- If students have previously attended colleges or universities, official copies of these records must also be submitted. All records should be submitted in English.
- Students who are from countries where English is not the dominant or common language must also submit one of the following results:

- The application fee of $20 must be in U.S. currency and accompany the application for enrollment.
- Financial aid for international students is not offered by the University of Northwestern Ohio. Therefore, students are required to submit documentation of sufficient financial resources to meet university expenses. If students are sponsored by an individual or other source, an official letter of verification from that sponsor must also be submitted.
- All records need to be originals and translated to English by an acceptable source.
After students submit the above-mentioned items, the University will review the materials and will issue Form I-20, Certificate of Eligibility, if all required items are in order.
