Listed below are items that will be furnished in your apartment as well as suggested items to bring with you.

The University of Northwestern Ohio provides the following in dormitory housing:

  • Stove
  • Disposal
  • Refrigerator
  • Basic Cable
  • Laundry Facilities
  • Standard Twin Bunk Beds
  • Kitchen Table & Chairs
  • Recreational Facilities
  • Smoke Alarm & Batteries

*NOTE: Living Room furniture is not provided

All dorms are air-conditioned.  There is adequate closet space in all dorms; however, if you have a lot of personal clothing, we suggest a small chest of drawers or a footlocker.  Students are to use only the beds provided by the university.

We suggest that you bring the following on your initial move into dormitory housing:

Bedding:  sheets, pillows, blankets, and mattress cover (required)

Toilet Articles:  towels, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.

Kitchen Utensils:  silverware, plates, cups, glasses, toaster, pans, etc.  (microwaves and small utility refrigerators are allowed)

Cleaning Supplies:  broom, toilet bowl/oven cleaners, etc.

Light Bulbs:  The University will supply oven, refrigerator, and fluorescent bulbs for the kitchen.  Students are required to furnish all other light bulbs.

Furniture:  Sofa, chairs, lamps, television, phone, etc. – Contact roommates prior to arrival to discuss furnishings.
