Description
The University of Northwestern Ohio in Lima, Ohio, invites applications for the position of Associate Provost, which reports directly to the Vice President for Academic Affairs/Provost, who is responsible for all academic programs and academic support departments.
Founded in 1920, the University has five colleges: College of Business, College of Applied Technologies, College of Health Professions, College of Occupational Professionals, and the Graduate College. It offers traditional programs as well as on-line delivery for many of its degrees. Currently half-way through a 10 year campus expansion program, the University is adding new majors, building a new Student Conference/Library Center, as well as additional dorms and sports fields. The University offers associate degrees, baccalaureate degrees and one graduate degree and has an enrollment of 4200.
The Vice Provost is responsible with the Provost, the Deans, and the Faculty for designing new programs, which are then submitted to the Ohio Board of Regents and the Higher Learning Commission. Additional responsibilities include oversight of the Assessment Program and staffing for Faculty and assisting with all academic support areas. The Vice Provost provides leadership in outcome-based curricula, promoting teaching excellence.
Requirements
Candidates must have an earned doctorate from a regionally accredited institution, teaching and administrative experience, at least five years of experience with regional and specialized accreditations, teaching or administering distance learning programs, and a record of good leadership.
