Types of Aid Available Links:
Honor Scholarships
- Valedictorian and Salutatorian
- Full tuition (up to 180 credit hours)
- Recipients must maintain a 3.3 g.p.a. and maintain outstanding attendance.
Jack Fitzgerald Memorial Scholarship
- Maximum award of $750 (one Business and one
Technological student per year)
- Students must have graduated from an Allen County High School
- Must have a 3.0 high school g.p.a.
- Must submit a letter of recommendation from the high school
- Must submit a letter of intent postmarked by May 1st
- Scholarship committee will select winner.
CNH/UNOH Scholarships
- Two scholarships worth $1,500 each
- Must have a 3.00 high school g.p.a.
- Must be enrolled in Agribusiness Management or Agricultural Equipment
- Must submit a letter of recommendation from the high school
- Must submit a letter of intent postmarked by May 1st
- Scholarship committee will select the winners.
Military Discount for dependents of US military veterans
- Dependent is classified as a born child, step-child, or adopted child
- Dependent must be claimed by the veteran on the most recent IRS income tax return
- Veteran must be enrolled in DEERS or be a military ID cardholder
- Student must have matriculated at the University by the age of 21
- Award follows all other University Scholarship guidelines, including being applied to traditional college rate, concurrent enrollment (only one session or quarter off), used for traditional tuition charges only, available for the original major, and a 2.5 GPA with one session of probation if the student falls below the 2.5 GPA
UNOH Athletic Scholarships
- Offered in six NAIA sports: men's and women's basketball, men's and women's golf and men's and women's tennis
- Internal athletic scholarships for men and women are available in the Student Stock Car Team program
- Contact the Athletic Department for information on how to apply
UNOH Opportunity Scholarships
- Need-based - preference given to students whose household income is less than $50,000
- Covers tuition only
- Two scholarships are available in the College of Business for residents of Allen County, OH - students may take up to 108 credit hours toward an associate degree (covers traditional class work only)
- One scholarship is available in the College of Technologies for a resident of Allen County, OH - full tuition, not to exceed 148 credit hours
- Award must follow all other college rate, concurrent enrollment (only one session or quarter off), used for traditional tuition charges only, available for the original major, and a 2.5 GPA with one session of probation if the student falls below the 2.5
- Scholarship board will choose the recipients of these scholarships
- Applications are available by contacting the Financial Aid Department
Datatel Scholars Foundation
The University of Northwestern Ohio is a member of the Datatel Scholars Foundation (DSF), an independent tax-exempt foundation, awards scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students attending eligible Datatel client institutions. Since its establishment in 1990, the Datatel Scholars Foundation has helped deserving scholars meet their education goals by awarding over 3,500 scholarships totaling more than $5 milllion.
