Steps for Financial Aid Assistance

Completing the steps below will ensure timely processing of your financial assistance for the upcoming academic year!

1. Pre-Applications for FAFSA on the Web (FOTW) are available at: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/before012.htm
2. New Year = Complete 2007 IRS Income Tax Returns
3. File FAFSA = 2008-2009 as soon as possible at: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov (Estimated taxes may be used, please make corrections after tax filing is completed)
4. Financial Aid Eligibility = check “Your Electronic Award” notice at: Electronic Award (you’ll get a postcard)
5. Apply for Student Signature and/or Parent Loans = choose a lender, sign the application and submit at: http://www.opennet.salliemae.com
