Special Conditions

Special Conditions is an appeal process that allows a student's FAFSA information to be reviewed due to special circumstances as listed below:
  • Parent loss of income

    • A parent must be unemployed for at least ten weeks before requesting the application
  • A loss of untaxed income (for example: Social Security)
  • Change of parent's marital status
  • Medical expenses exceeding $5,000 uncovered by insurance
